The Beacon
Hand Tied Fly and Photograph by Lee Schecter
Giclee Print, 8" x 10" paper size, $75
The "Beacon" is a noted Lake Fly from the Orvis Marbury exposition plates displayed at the Columbian Exposition of 1893 held in Chicago. It was listed in early Orvis catalogs as a Lake Fly.
These are historically accurate flies referencing Mary Orvis Marbury's legendary book, Favorite Flies and Their Histories published in 1892. Lee also creates 'Freestyle' flies using historical elements as a starting point to create original and unique flies in his own style.
An exclusive Giclee edition of original photographs of original historically accurate fishing flies by Lee Schechter are available for purchase. Published by Lori Warner Gallery, Chester, CT. This museum quality Giclee print has been meticulously matched to the original photograph to attain a print that faithfully captures the essence of the original. This piece is printed on 100% cotton, archival paper from France using pigment based archival inks. The image is positioned vertically on 8" x 10" paper.
