"The Golden Rod" is a Lake Fly of unknown origin but noted for its popularity as a fly for Maine.
These are historically accurate flies referencing Mary Orvis Marbury's legendary book, Favorite Flies and Their Histories published in 1892. Lee also creates 'Freestyle' flies using historical elements as a starting point to create original and unique flies in his own style.
An exclusive Giclee edition of original photographs of original historically accurate fishing flies by Lee Schechter are available for purchase. Published by Lori Warner Gallery, Chester, CT. This museum quality Giclee print has been meticulously matched to the original photograph to attain a print that faithfully captures the essence of the original.
