Giclee Print, 8" x 10" paper, image, $75
*Original* Hand Tied Fly, Handmade Adirondack Frame of Aromatic Red Cedar and White Birch, $550
The "Tomah Jo" is a Lake Fly originally tied by Miss Sara J. McBride of Mumford NY and named by Mr. Charles W. Stevens of Boston in his book “Fly-fishing in the Maine lakes”. The fly was named after a Maine Indian guide – Tomah Joseph from the Passamaquoddy tribe.
These are historically accurate flies referencing Mary Orvis Marbury's legendary book, Favorite Flies and Their Histories published in 1892. Lee also creates 'Freestyle' flies using historical elements as a starting point to create original and unique flies in his own style.
An exclusive Giclee edition of original photographs of original historically accurate fishing flies by Lee Schechter are available for purchase. Published by Lori Warner Gallery, Chester, CT. This museum quality Giclee print has been meticulously matched to the original photograph to attain a print that faithfully captures the essence of the original. This piece is printed on 100% cotton, archival paper from France using pigment based archival inks. The image is centered on 8" x 10" paper.
